BANDU GUNARATNE

Bandu Gunaratne is a well respected and renowned local photographer with memberships in the most prestigious photography societies such as The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain ( Member since 1992 );  Photographic Society of America ( Member since 2005 ); Photographic Society of Singapore ( Member since 2001 ); The British Professional Photographers Associates ( Member since 2005 ); Global Photographers Union - Europe (Member since 2013)Country Representative. Crossing Bridges - South East Asia.

Gunaratne serves as an advisor to the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs of Sri Lanka and works in introducing and enhancing photography skills amongst student across schools in Sri Lanka. He is also involved in supporting regional photographic associations in building the amateur photography talents.

 

MENIKA VAN DER POORTEN

Menika van der Poorten is a Photographic artist/Educator, Curator and Arts manager based in Colombo Sri Lanka. She has exhibited her works locally and internationally, including at the Dhaka Art Sumit 2016 and Kochi –Muzuris Biennale 2014, India and Colombo Art Biennale 2012.

Most recently van der Poorten was curator of ‘Re/Evolution’ at Cinnamon Colomboscope Festival of the Arts, 2017.In 2015 She was co –curator of the site responsive exhibition Shadow Scenes at Cinnamon Colomboscope 2015. In 2013 van der Poorten conceptualized and implemented the photographic development and exhibition project ‘Women Out of the Frame’.

HARSHA MADURANGA

Harsha Maduranga is an award winning Sri Lankan Photographer, Lecturer, Trainer, Photography Judge & Writer with over a decade of professional experience, specialized on wedding, fine-art and portrait photography. He is the founder of popular wedding studio Foto Station, which is a specialist wedding photography studio.

Recipient of many awards and accolades both locally and internationally, Harsha was recently awarded two consecutive Trierenberg Super Circuit Gold Medals. Harsha’s major achievements include Honors at the  Artist FIAP on Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique. He has served as an advisor to the Ministry of Education in developing the syllabus, a member of State Advisory Board for Photography. Harsha is actively working with younger generation to educate and promote photography among youth in Sri Lanka.
